
Jeamsan Mountain has a height of 807m above sea level. This divine mountain has been climbed to pray in the direction of the strange rock in the shape of 'Je (帝, King) at the summit for national prosperity and welfare of the people during the national hardship and draughts. In good weather, Mudeungsan Mountain and clean waters of Deungnyangman Bay are visible, and Jeam Recreation Center at the foot of Jeamsan Mountain has been known for a propitous site for a grave of a prime minister that inherits the spirit of Jeam.
Jeamsan Recreation Forest is equipped with various convenience facilities, parking lot, camping site, 6 log cabins and 11 modern condominiums.
From the Recreation Forest, the return trip to the Imgeumbawi at the peak of Jeamsan Mountain is 10.5km and takes approximately 2 hours. From the peak of Jeamsan Mountain, a 5-hour mountain trail begins toward Gomjae, past the Jeamsan royal azalea colony and Sajasan (Mibong Peak) to Illimsan Mountain, Hanchijae and Yongchu Valley.Jeamsan Mountain is a beautiful mountain throughout seasons. In Spring, the spectacular scenery of azalea and royal azalea is ideal for a Spring picnic, and in summer, the pools and valley make a great holiday destination for families with children.
In Autumn, falling leaves create a spectacular view and in Winter, hikers rush in to see the snow scene and the flame grass colony at the top of the mountain.
