Boseong Gun

2018 marks a millennium since in the 9th year of Goryeo's reign (CE 1018), the region was named Boseong-gun again in an administrative district reorganization after it was called Boseong-gun during the reign of King Gyeongdeok of the Unified Silla Dynasty (CE 757) before it renamed as Paju County, etc. The emblem, selected through a nation-wide open call as a symbol to commemorate and promote the event, creatively depicts the green tea leaf, a representative specialty, and the progressive spirit toward Boseong in the future, with the Boseong River, the lifeline of Boseong in the background.
