With an annual average temperature of 13℃ and rainfall of 1,400mm, Boseong is an optimum production site for tea plantation. Located at the junction of oceanic climate and continental climate, due to the natural shading effect by the wet fog, this largest green tea plantation has the greatest conditions for manifesting the properties of tea. Boseong green tea, grown in nature-friendly way to suit consumer tastes, has a unique taste and flavor and is made from the tea production technology of a global standard. This traditional green tea has long adapted under the heavenly natural environment of the sea and mountains and fertile soil accumulated above the underground rock structures with good water quality.
Oyster Mushroom
Oyster mushrooms have a unique flavor and taste and has been eaten and used as folk drugs for a long time. Boseong oyster mushrooms are grown from modern cultivation facilities with refrigeration and low temperature storage facilities and therefore have unique color, shiny surface and tender and chewy texture.

Cockle

Freshly caught gizzards are thinly sliced between the backbone to make savory tasting sliced raw fish, or coarse salt is sprinkled over a still alive gizzard and grilled to maximize the nutty flavor.
Razor Shell
Razor shells are tube-shaped shells that live in tube-shaped holes in the mudflat. Razor shells caught from the clean mudflat of Yeojaman Bay are best in season in April through August. They taste the best when grilled over charcoal. Also, razor shell soup is great for hangover.
Boseong Hanwoo (Korean Beef)
Boseong Hanwoo is produced by feeding eco-friendly bulky feed produced from clean reclaimed mudflat surrounded by the sea, mountains and lakes in the far South. 'Jirisan Mild Hanwoo', the first regional Hanwoo brand in Korea cultivates Hanwoo cattles in a herd of farms in 7 cities and counties in the Eastern Jeollanam-do province including Boseong-gun. All products are eco-friendly livestock goods (no antibiotics) made from safe and hygienic systems. Cattles are castrated during 6 to 8 months and cultivated under the premium beef specification program. Those aged over 30 months with excellent beef quality get an ultrasound and only the grade 1 Hanwoo is sold.
Nokdon (Green Tea Pork)
'Boseong Nokdon' means pork of Boseong cultivated by feeding green tea powder in the feed. This premium brand received the highest quality grade by the Korea Food Research Institute for low fat, low cholesterol and reduced smell of fat.
Mudskipper
Since mudskippers are organisms that often enjoy 'sunbathing' on the mudflat, they don't have fishy smell. Mudskippers inhabiting on the clean mudflat of Beolgyo, Boseong not only have an unusual name but also the unusual living habits and appearance. Also, mudskippers are also known as the 'beef of the mudflat' for their rich taste and nutrients. They are rich in proteins and calcium as well as taurine that helps relieve hangover. Mudskippers are in season from early summer to early winter when they nicely fatten up.
Small Octopus
Small octopus that grow in clean mudflat of Deungnyangman Bay taste soft and clean. This low calorie stamina food reduces bad cholesterol and effectively prevents anemia. Eoseongcho (Houttuynia Cordata)
Oeseongcho is a perennial plant that grows in a shaded and wet soil. It is also called the heartleaf houttuynia or the houttuynia. Its leaf looks similar to that of sweet potato, and the lower part of the stem stretches to the sides like crawling on the ground.
Bluet (Asian Lizard's Tail)
Bluet, No. 177 endangered plant designated by the government, is a native naturally growing plant named after 3 white leaves under the petals. Since it has been known as a folk drug, it has suffered the risk of extinction. But then, after difficulties, bluets were reintroduced to the country from only a handful of them.

Bokbunja (Raspberry)
Raspberries of Hoecheon-myeon can be cultivated in an eco-friendly way due to less risk of damage from blight and insects because of the good ventilation from the coastal area. They are grown mainly using organic fertilizers and are recognized as one of healthy and well-being foods. Bokbunja was named 'Bok (overturn), Bun (chamber pot), Ja (child)' after a folktale that says one's urination gets as smooth as turning over a chamber pot after eating this fruit. Bokbunja's effectiveness has been mentioned in a number of old literatures, and even the modern medicine has proved the effectiveness of poluphenol in the fruit in anti-cancer, anti-aging, preventing arteriosclerosis, preventing blood clot and disinfecting.

Brassware

Pottery
Breathing pottery dishes of Boseong have a unique charm. Made from natural lye, they have friendly and subtle colors of the pottery, and they get the clear metallic sound and hard shape after baking at an extremely high temperature of 1200℃. Boseong pottery has a simple but fine appearance that is both useful and decorative.
Hemp Cloth
Boseong, the site for 'hemp' used for making traditional clothes, produces 25% of nationwide hemp production, 80% production in Jeollanam-do and 50% of the total hemp cloth distribution in Korea. Therefore, 'hemp cloth' is a representative specialty of Boseong. Various hemp products from shrouds and mourning clothes to daily hanbok, underware, bed sets and interior decorative items are being produced. Boseong hemp cloth made from traditional method has an excellent quality and its authenticity is certified by Boseong-gun.
Traditional Dying
In order to promote the traditional hemp industry and to create Korea's unique style by using pigments from natural plant resources, the Natural Dye Crafts Hall was launched. It is currently managed under the 'Korea Natural Dyeing Sum'. The Natural Dye Crafts Hall consists of the Hanok (workroom, design room, etc.), exhibition room, dyeing room and auxiliary facilities. At the Korea Natural Dyeing Sum, various clothes and accessories are being made by using naturally grown hemp and pigments. Also, in order to expand the basis for natural dyeing, various classes and professional fostering programs are being performed.
Yongmunseok
Yongmunseok is a rush mat with the embroidery of a dragon. A plain mat is weaved first by using a rush-mat making machine that looks like a straw bag machine after peeling and steaming rush bark. Once the plain mat is completed, pigmented threads of rush bark are embroidered using a matting needle. The mat is called Hwamunseok if flowers are embroidered, or Yongmunseok if a dragon is embroidered.
